So... exams start in less than 3 weeks.

CHEMISTRY

PHYSICS

BIOLOGY

MATHS
- mechanics 1
- core maths 1
- core maths 2

I really dont have much money and its all looking just charming!
The ongoing university challenge is still in progress - Ive visited Cardiff so far. Still dont qiute know what i want to do and still terrified of failure.

On the brighter side of life?
The new depthcore pack - requiem [link] has come out, so I have some nice art to look at when im not revising. Im getting ridiculously into conceptual photography now, which is giving me new meaning and helping to counterbalance my scientificaly minded academic life.

Im going to a wedding tomorow too.

(such a wonderful delight to find someone who is actually fascinated by all that stuff, like me >XD )

Thank you very much for the video animation, that's quite an interesting point of view as well. And I haven't seen E8 "3D" like yet, quite a nice thing, isn't it :D
~oddbydefault:iconoddbydefault: 2 days 6 hours ago
No - thankYOU for giving me such interesting things to dwell on!

I have yet to see Pi, it's very difficult to find over here for some reason - my library doesn't stock it, but I am determined!
And I agree about the beautyof mathematics in nature... When I first read about the beauty of mathematics in nature, I was astounded, how numbers such as Phi [ golden ratio ] can govern such an enourmous and seemingly unsignificant aspects of the world around us, even the makeup of our bodies, is amazing.

I read up on this Theory of Everything you mentioned... It involves very hard concepts for me to grasp, but I saw the visual interpretation of E8, which is beautiful...

I was sure i recognised the theory, and funnily enough, after abit of searching i found this video [link]
which I watched a while ago on the theory - It explains it as a 3D model in rotation, making it alot easier to understand for simple minded people such as myself, but it is also beautiful in the fact that it is so geometricaly correct.

And you know what, the submission made my week, too. I honestly did not think it would be so well received. Personally I don't think it is as good as it could be, but you know...it's alright, I guess. When I read the comments I get, I can forget about the imperfections for a bit, especially comments like yours, they're something to look forward for me :) (Thank you!)

You actually describe what I want to achieve with such a thing, a dead, cold, mechanical thing, looking alive, in a different way than we're used to it. And yeah, it's not really pure coincidence that the main shapes look somewhat like alive animals. Nature uses powerful shapes, in an artistic sense, chaotic but ordered (as mathematics can show :D ). This is what truly fascinates me (also, have you seen Pi yet? You know that I have quoted something fitting in my journal...although I'm not obsessed with it but the idea of patterns making up our nature is...overwhelming.)

While I'm at it: there's also this guy who proposes a "Theory of Everything", the holy grail of physics, that explains the fundamental interaction of all particles using a highly abstract object, the 248-dimensional Lie Group E8. And yet, if you look here, you can see that this pattern would be exceptionally beautiful (visually at least): [link]

Too beautiful to be true, maybe. (Sorry for making such a long entry with all kind of strange, seemingly esoteric stuff >XD )

i forgot the lipshine...just cut them out with like magnetic lassor what you like, 2x ctrl+j (to make 2 new layers of lips), in one you put diffusion or glow and in the other you put plastic wrap...then you set the opac to whatever% you like ^_^

thanx for the comment about the girl w earring...i just used jessicas hair, erase tool to take the stuff i didn't want...then it's just dodge and burn tool, a little blur and smudge (to finish off the edges and fill in the gaps), did nearly the same with the earring, a little make up here and there on the face, eyebrows and voilá :) hope i could help ;)
